Job summary
UCLH is undergoing a dramatic change in the provision of mental health services. The trust is looking to recruit a mental health workforce that aims to improve patient outcomes and experience. As part of this team we are looking for a team of health care assistants with a passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
The post holder will be employed to work within the acute Hospital Trust providing care for patients admitted to the wards and requiring enhanced care.
The post holder will be part of the MH Enhanced Care team which works closely with the Mental Health Liaison Team to provide the optimum level of care for those in crisis.
Main duties of the job
The role involves providing enhanced care and continuous observations to patients with mental health conditions or patients experiencing psychological distress and delivering therapeutic interventions that will reduce agitation and distress and promote recovery.
The staff will carry out assigned tasks as part of a clinical team in support of registered nurses and undertake some aspects of care provision without direct supervision.
