    As a Barclays Infrastructure Engineer Permissions, you will help in accelerating a new digital platform capability, transforming and modernising our digital estate to build a market-leading digital offering with customer experience at its heart.

    At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.

    We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours).

    Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

    Engaging with senior engineers to design and build a resilient platform, following proven and robust practices


    • Demonstrating hands-on engineering-led innovation and implementations to both the team and the wider tech community
    • Working closely with partners across the bank and contributing to digital journeys innovation using the platform's Permissions capabilities, demonstrating inner source culture
    Cloud and on-premises based infrastructure experience, virtual machines, containerisation (Kubernetes). gateways, VPCs, automated deployment scripts


    • Experience of high-volume transaction systems, load balanced applications, distributed application implementation
    • Knowledge of automated script based deployment and configuration
    Skills that will help you in the role:


    • Experience of AWS Solution Architecture or DevOps Engineer

    Experience in MS Azure:
    Solution Architect, Cybersecurity Architect
