Reviving its Heritage and Core brand proposition has seen strong year on year growth in the last 8 years, and MiHub is expanding the Catalogue Merchandising department to support range and product evolution.


Job Purpose


The primary purpose of the Merchandiser is to create a Catalogue product assortment for a specific channel, sector and customer segment that drive the MiHub product and business strategy.

The Merchandiser will work with the Merchandising Manager and their Commercial Business Partner to analyse the customer journey, proposing improvements for an optimised experience and own the merchandising of the channel product range to drive profitability and growth, whilst reducing working capital.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Merchandising team to contribute to and deliver the departmental strategy.
  • Identify key insight and actions to improve performance and customer experience using data to predict the customer's current and future needs and purchasing trends, including how the customer journey is impacted.
  • Help shape the sales and margin budgets for the financial year and contribute to the channel commercial review meetings, balancing opportunities, and risk as a Merchandising Business Partner.
  • Support decisions on product mix, option planning, price architecture and work closely with the whole Merchandising team to enhance the company brand image and product portfolio.
  • Critically review and revise the product plan, working with Forecasting and cross functional leads within the Commercial department to support range replenishment and assortment, to maintain a low Back Order value.
  • Support the Product Life Cycle through introduction or withdrawal of a product or range, supporting the use of digital opportunities to drive sales and profitability across all channels where appropriate.
  • Regularly review performance indicators as a Business Partner, such as sales and promotions, analysing and reacting to the main influences on Merchandising plans, taking appropriate action as a result.
  • Analyse appropriate cost and margin influences on Merchandising plans to make informed decisions, anticipating potential problems and opportunities through the effective liaison at the appropriate level with other teams and functions.
  • Supporting Customer Services / Sales Support with any issues and queries.
  • Any other administrative duties which may be reasonably requested

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • You will be working alongside several other teams so excellent communications skills are a must.
  • You will have the ability to manage time effectively, potentially juggling multiple priorities at a time.
  • You will be extremely adaptable and used to working in a fast paced environment plus an ability to work independently.
