- Responsibilities within the Materials, Welding, and Coatings department include providing support on metallic materials (carbon steel, stainless steels, nickel base alloys) and corrosion issues (materials selection, CO2 corrosion, H2S corrosion, SCC).
- Produce material specifications for pipes, forgings, and bends.
- Review and clarify offers from suppliers.
- Select materials based on corrosive environments and project constraints.
- Conduct CO2 corrosion calculations.
- Participate in meetings with Clients, Vendors, and Suppliers.
- Support quality and SCM departments for supplier qualification.
- Contribute to R & D activities on materials and corrosion.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and other departments.
- Understanding of metallurgical and mechanical properties of metallic materials
- Experience in materials support for procurement and subcontractor procedures.
- Knowledge of oil and gas corrosion mechanisms
- Proficiency in corrosion calculation and Material Selection
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (API 5L, DNV OS-F101, NORSOK, ASTM, NACE)
- Basic knowledge of welding processes and NDT procedures
- Effective communication skills
- Risk-focused with good analytical abilities
- Experience in managing interfaces across projects in a multicultural environment
