About the role

Larksfield Supported living is based in the town of Wisbech and supports tenants in their own flats as part of a larger building.

You will be part of a team that supports people with disabilities to live in their own home. The service also provides communal areas and shared kitchen/dining area for tenant to meet and enjoy social activities.

What will you be doing?

The Night Support Worker will work shifts could be during the week, at weekends or Bank Holidays (between 10pm - 8am.), additional enhancements are paid for weekends and Bank Holidays.

In each 2 week period you will work 7 shifts of 10 hours including every other weekend.

Your role will include but not limited to, supporting with personal care, cleaning/ironing, food preparation and completing recording tasks. The role will involve administration of medication. You will build on tenants existing skills and abilities whilst respecting their individual needs and choices.


Due to the nature of the work and the working environment the post holder will often be lone working and will not readily have support and/or supervision available on site.

They will therefore need to be able to respond immediately to crisis situations. You will have clear processes in place and report to the Senior Support Worker or Registered Manager.

The starting pay for the posts is £14.35 per hour (£19.74 Saturday hours
- £22.76 Sunday hours).

You will be completing a comprehensive training program and shadowing.

About you

You will need to have a proficient level of written and spoken English for the purposes of case recording and to enable you to work towards a qualification in Health and Social Care if you do not already hold this qualification.

As a Night Support Worker, you will need to have experience of supporting a person with a disability.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as some IT skills are required.

Also, an ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion as well as the need for safety and confidentiality in the role.
