    Account Manager/ Sales Representative – Field based/ M1 – Diagnostics

    About the Company:

    nWe are looking for an experienced sales professional from the medical device, life science or diagnostic industry to join the commercial team managing clients and bringing in business along the M1 corridor.

    The aim of this role is to deliver year-on-year sales and profit growth by achieving volume and profit objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    nManage the M1 corridor territory and ensure sales and profitability targets.nAchieve sales targets within the assigned territory by cross selling and increasing the number of products sold to each customer and by expanding the customer base.nCommunicate market intelligence on customer needs and competitor activity.nProduce accurate and reliable market information to assess profitability of new products.nCollaboration with internals departments such as Marketing, R&D and Customer Services.nEnsure data is recorded where necessary.nComply with procedures and processes.nDevelop, monitor and manage accounts.nNetworking with current and potential customers.nManage quotation opportunities.nManage invitations to tender.nAttend exhibitions, forums, presentations, demonstrations and other events.nContributing to the sales team through internal networking and participation on events.


    Requirements:

    nProven sales experience and success within the medical device, life science, diagnostics or other related industry.nExcellent communication skills with the ability to adapt style according to audience.nExcellent presentation and demonstration skills.nResiding in territory – M1 corridor, ideally around Sheffield to Nottingham.nAbility to travel and stay overnight when needed.nGoal focussed.nSelf-motivated.nExcellent organisation skillsnTeam player.nCurrent and valid UK driving license.nEducated to degree level in a scientific discipline such as biology, microbiology, molecular biology, etc.nEmpathetic and objective approach to customer needs and problems.nExperience selling into the NHS and a good understanding of the NHS supply chain.nGood understanding of testing laboratories (ideally clinical)nGood IT skills including Windows and MS packages.nExperience writing formal documentation.nExperience with tenders is advantageous.
