    Head of Talent Acquisition - London, United Kingdom - British Council

    We are looking for a professional to fill the role of Head of Talent Acquisition at our esteemed organization, the British Council. As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in connecting us with top talent worldwide, ensuring a seamless alignment of skills with opportunities. By leveraging our brand, you will attract and select individuals who resonate with our values, fostering an inclusive and fair experience for candidates and employees.

    In this key position, you will oversee the global recruitment process for English & Exams (E&E), transitioning from traditional practices to a more strategic approach. Utilizing innovative talent strategies and cutting-edge technology, such as our recently acquired talent intelligence platform, you will enhance selection processes and optimize candidate experiences.

    Working within a diverse global matrix, you will need strong influencing skills to build relationships across various functions and regions, driving collaboration and efficiency.

    Main Accountabilities/Responsibilities

    • Work collaboratively with People function/E&E in workforce planning, forecasting, and resourcing strategies.
    • Lead the operational delivery of E&E vacancies globally, enhancing team capacity and efficiency.
    • Drive recruitment performance against SLAs/KPIs, fostering a culture of excellence within the TA function.
    • Recruit senior/executive positions for E&E and support EDI objectives.
    • Identify critical talent segments, develop talent pipelines, and ensure clear understanding of attraction/selection processes.
    • Stay updated on emerging trends in Talent Acquisition and contribute to the development of the TA strategy.

    Role Specific Knowledge and Experience Required

    Minimum/Essential

    • Extensive TA experience in an international setting with expertise across full TA process.
    • Capability to lead an in-house TA team handling vacancies across multiple countries.
    • Ability to translate organization priorities into effective TA strategies and campaigns.
    • Experience in driving significant HR/TA change projects and delivering senior appointments.
    • Understanding of candidate sourcing techniques and promotion of EDI in hiring.

    Education/Professional Qualification and Certification

    • Recruitment or HR qualification (desirable).
    • The British Council plays a pivotal role in promoting a connected and trusted UK in a more connected and trusted world.
