- Lead the technical delivery of cost-effective mechatronics solutions for vehicle integration.
- Effective use of quality tools, resulting in innovative mechatronics systems with comprehensive foundation quality documentation
- Provide clarified technical requirements and thorough product design specifications.
- Develop strong relationships with mechatronics suppliers to support new developments.
- Collaborate with commercial team to align on future sourcing strategies.
- Manage EDS/software documentation, including device transmittals, GRADE, network releases, and cybersecurity standards.
- Create diagnostics and fail-safe techniques for new mechatronics as part of the HFMS.
- Manage team performance, provide technical leadership.
- Strong experience in mechatronics and electronics design (preferably in the defence, aerospace, or automotive industry).
- Previous experience as a Mechatronics Engineering practitioner across the whole System Engineering lifecycle
- Extensive expertise using quality tools to complicated components and sub-systems.
- Previous experience developing strong relationships suppliers to support new developments.
- Excellent project management and planning skills and team management.
- Experience of influencing business mindset and complex process change.

WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechatronics Technical Leader to join the Propulsion Thermal Management group and support the development of new mechatronics technologies for application into future JLR vehicles.
Within this role you will be working with key suppliers and the HFMS systems design group, to support delivery of robust, cost-effective mechatronics solutions into future JLR vehicle programmes. You will lead a small team of Engineers to design, validate and deliver robust mechatronic solutions (fans, control valves, pumps, sensors, and actuators) and provide technical expertise for engineering issues related to mechatronics.
This is great opportunity for some who can challenge existing thinking and want to have an impact on new mechatronics technologies for application into future JLR vehicles and programmes.
