    We are currently recruiting for an Electronics Engineer for a permanent position based in Bath.


    Working collaboratively as part of a high performing team, you will deliver effective and fit for purpose solutions to our customers globally.

    Using the development life cycle you will be responsible for all or aspects of the development life cycle, including:

    • Development of core products.
    • New feature requests and product enhancements.
    • Solving problems with new technology introduction.
    • Adherence to formal design principles using best practice processes.
    • Collaborating with key project and business stakeholders.
    • Delivering high quality solutions using continuous improvement tools and techniques.


    You will need to be proactive, hands on and driven to ensure the delivery of all activities in line with agreed deadlines.


    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to design reviews to ensure that company designs and solutions comply with specifications and relevant standards.
    • Respond to stakeholder specifications.
    • Develop and provide cost estimates in collaboration with all business disciplines.
    • Present analysis results and project solutions to key stakeholders such as technical leads, senior leaders and customers as necessary.
    • Develop and execute functional and non-functional test specifications to ensure compliance to requirements.
    • Development and preparation of technical records and reports as may be necessary to demonstrate compliance with associated specification and any relevant standards.
    • Design to meet internationally recognised standards.
    • Provision of technical support to key internal and external stakeholders as required e.g. Sales, Service, Production, Buying and Quality Departments.

    Qualifications & Technical Knowledge:
    Essential

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience. HND qualifications in similar subjects will also be considered.
    • Previous industrial design experience.
    • Proven experience of analysing, designing, testing, debugging, and enhancing existing/new products used in an industrial environment.
    • Design and development using structured design techniques.
    • Use of the Microsoft toolset - for technical documentation.
    • Experience of task management, defect management, requirements capture, verification and validation tools.
    • Willingness to travel.
    Desirable

    • Understanding of a variety of project management methodologies (e.g. agile).
    • Experience working with brushless DC motors.
    • Experience in programming.

    Working Hours:

    • Flexible
    • 8am to 4pm, 8:30am to 4:30pm or 9am to 5pm
    • Finish 30 mins early on Fridays
    • 37 hours per week
