    Description
    Our client is pioneering the development of natural polymers to drive a more sustainable future. They are seeking a Business Development Executive to join their team, supporting the business development, marketing, and R&D departments. In this role, you will conduct desk-based research, manage accounts, and provide administrative support.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone to apply their scientific knowledge in a non-lab setting and contribute to the creation of innovative, groundbreaking products.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Support Across Teams:

    Assist BD, R&D, and Marketing teams with daily activities related to customer projects, including shipping samples and preparing information.


    Campaign Execution:
    Implement communication and prospecting campaigns in collaboration with the commercial team.

    Market Research:
    Conduct desk-based research into specialty chemicals markets and product applications relevant to natural polymers.

    Outreach Activities:
    Engage with potential prospects and customers at events, both in the UK and possibly Europe.

    Reporting:
    Prepare regular pipeline and prospect reports, tracking status against business KPIs and targets.

    Competitor Analysis:
    Monitor competitor activities and compile a monthly summary report for internal distribution.

    CRM Management:

    Maintain and improve the CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records under the guidance of the Head of Business Development and Head of Marketing.

    Candidate Experience

    The company is seeking candidates with:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
    A passion for materials technology and/or chemistry, with the ability to quickly learn about new technical areas and summarise this information clearly and succinctly
    An enthusiasm for the company mission of addressing plastic pollution, and interest in sustainability
    The right fit for a small, science-led, innovative team and a high level of autonomy, creativity and independence
    An individual with a can-do attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment

    A high level of numeracy, preferably with experience in managing contact databases and CRM systems - Desirable
