    Organisation: Nottingham City Council

    Contract Type: Fixed Term

    Working Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week
    Working 12 hours per shift with 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off shift pattern).
    Also a shift available with a working pattern for 4 on, 2 off, which will be 07:00 - 15:00 HRS, then the following shifts will be 15:00 - 23:00 HRS.

    Worker Type: On Site Worker

    Salary: The starting salary is £24,702 for Level One rising to £25,119 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) for Level Two, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period

    As part of being a CCTV Operator - Level 2, there will be additional benefits to this role, which include;

  • Night time enhancement rate at +33%, if worked between 11pm - 6am.
  • Overtime shift rates that exceed over your weekly contracted hours will be added
  • Sickness pay
  • Double pay will be offered when you work a Bank Holiday
  • Works Perks are available for employee's within Nottingham City Council

    • Some of the key duties and responsibilities include:


    • Operating and monitoring the CCTV cameras and alarm systems

    • Producing footage and evidence as and when required

    • Operating PA, door entry and access barrier systems

    • Responding, recording and passing information to the relevant partners

    • Liaising with the Police, Nottingham On Call and other NCC or partner services

    • Ensure that public space, housing sites/estates are safeguarded against acts of crime and anti-social behaviour

    • Record any crime reports accurately complying to government legislation standards

    We are a 24/7 control centre and any hours worked after 11 pm and before 6 am are paid an uplift of 33%, or double pay for bank holiday working.

    About You:

    The ideal candidate will hold:


    • Hold a valid CCTV SIA Licence

    • Experience of dealing with customers in a polite, professional and courteous manner

    • Willingness and ability to work bank holidays, weekends and shift work
