Compass has an annual turnover of £1.3million and operates with 45 employees. As a social business, since 2004, we provide servicesthat enable people to make a positive change in their lives. We tailor our services to the needs of the individual recognising that one size doesn't fit all.

Our service offer includes; employment, adult support, family support, health & wellbeing, children & young people and community support. We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Director of Community Regeneration to join our Executive LeadershipTeam.

The Role This is a key position for us in which you will lead and grow our services which support people to improve their lives as well as sustains and delivers regeneration across our communities.


Working collaboratively with the Executive Leadership Team and Governance Structure, you will develop and deliver robust, realistic yet challenging strategies, business plans, structures and processes that support our corporate objectives and ensures a growing,dynamic and sustainable organisation.

Engaging and collaborative, you will provide authentic leadership, which supports and motivates managers and teams alike.


You will ensure that our Vision and Core Values are embedded in the working culture, and that they underpinallthe team's activities.

This role will provide you the opportunity to determine the strategic direction and leadership for Compass Support and ensurethat it demonstrates accountability to the Group and the community it serves while remaining financially viable and meeting the requirements of regulators and funders.


About you

  • We require a strategic senior manager with solid experience of the following areas:
  • Supervising staff who are at management level
  • Leading a range of support services
  • Diverse income generation activities and vision to evaluate and deliver opportunities
  • Charitable or voluntary and community sector
  • Strong track record of service delivery outcomes


Astute and with good attention to detail, you will have the ability to design, implement and critically evaluate systems, policies and procedures.

You will have the ability to present yourself credibly to colleagues at all levels, board members, residents,partner organisations, commissioners and regulators and you will be confident in your ability to critically evaluate the written work of others, to write board reports, strategy and policy documents.


While no formal qualifications are essential, qualification/s in social care and health, community regeneration, youth and community, business management would be highly desirable.
