    Payroll Advisor - Part Time (22.5 hours per week)

    Bath ASU which produces thousands of aseptically (sterile) compounded injectable pharmaceutical products each day for hospitals and patients who are fighting cancer, living with chronic disease or in need of pain relief.

    Pharmaxo are seeking a part-time Payroll Advisor to join our People Team here in Corsham.

    About you

    The Payroll Advisor will be responsible for managing the monthly payroll activities ensuring that accurate data is provided to our third-party provider. They will also be responsible for the administration of our workforce data reports and for ensuring data quality and improvement projects aligned to our HR and Payroll Systems are facilitated.

    • Based on site at Corsham Science Park

    • Part-time – 22.5 hrs a week, ideally worked over 3 days (flexible to suit payroll schedule)

    • Previous payroll experience is essential

    • Good working knowledge of HR / Payroll systems and Excel

    • Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (full-time equivalent) (dependent on experience and qualifications)

    Summary of role:

    • To maintain our HR system (People HR), ensuring all contractual changes and pay impacting variations are processed in a timely manner with appropriate levels of approval.

    • To be a key contact for our external third party providers, attending operational review meetings as appropriate.

    • To act as a point of escalation for payroll related queries, supporting the investigation and conclusion of queries, working with external parties as required. This may include liaison with the HMRC or other authorities.

    • To act as a system expert for our HR and Payroll systems, providing expert advice and guidance to employees on utilising the systems and considering improvement opportunities.

    • To continuously seek improvements to payroll processes, procedures, and administration.

    • To provide line management and operational oversight to the People Administrator (Payroll & Reporting)

    To be successful in this position your will need previous experience of HR / Payroll systems, strong organisational and time management skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and a good attention to detail.     Benefits

    • Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 (full-time equivalent) (dependent on experience and qualifications)
    • Annual leave of 25 days + bank holidays (increasing to 27 days after 3 years' service)
    • Annual company bonus scheme (subject to scheme eligibility)
    • Pension - you will be auto-enrolled after 3 months of employment at 5% (with an employer contribution of 4%). You can also opt to increase your contribution to 6% to which the employer will contribute 8%.
