MacKenzie King are proud to be working with one of our long standing clients, based in Ipswich, to recruit a
part-time Accounts Assistant to join their small, family feel team. As a
part-time Accounts Assistant you will assist with daily banking, purchase ledger and administrative accounting duties for all companies in the group. You will also be responsible for sales ledger duties for one company in the group, with theopportunity to develop processes for this area of the business.
Duties & Responsibilities to include:
- Post receipts and complete payments for bank accounts
- Reconcile statements in preparation for onward payments
- First line investigations for accounts creditors queries
- Check and validate payment runs
- Validate monthly invoicing schedules against back up docs
- Sales invoicing
- Purchase ledger invoice posting
- Issuing statements to customers
- Credit control
- Allocation of receipts
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Post cashbooks
- Manage and distribute tasks appropriately from within the Accounts Team shared mailbox
- Manage petty cash and petty cash reconciliations(all currencies)
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Experience working as part of an accounts or finance team
- Strong Excel skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive approach with the ability to work to timetables and meet deadlines
