    Job Title: Guidance Reviewing Officer

    Description:

    Are you an accomplished, registered Social Worker with a strong legal background? Are you seeking a fresh challenge to refine your skills and gain practical experience at a higher level? We are seeking a Guidance Reviewing Officer to join us on a secondment basis for up to 6 months. In this role, you will collaborate with key professionals to review and enhance our social care guidance notes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze and update existing guidance papers under the supervision of the Principal Social Worker.
    • Participate in the Practice Improvement Group meetings and report progress regularly.
    • Review national directives to ensure best practices are integrated into our internal guidance notes.
    • Lead the review process and ensure timely completion.
    • Effectively manage and organize guidance note materials using IT skills.

    This role will report to the Principal Social Worker and may involve travel to different SCC offices.

    Team Insights

    The Principal Social Worker plays a vital role in ensuring operational teams have the necessary guidance for consistent best practices. The Academy provides peer support and training opportunities.

    Role Details

    This role aims to establish effective guidance for operational staff to excel in their roles. Daily tasks involve meetings, research, and collaborating with various teams to produce and review guidance papers.

    Shortlisting Criteria

    • Registered Social Worker with at least four years of experience
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams with strong communication skills
    • High legal literacy in social work and care
    • Exceptional written communication skills to convey complex information clearly
    • Experience in project management and IT tools

    Note: The job location may move within the local area later this year.
