    Description

    Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnered primary schools in Leeds.

    This is an exciting opportunity to support primary school students who require additional assistance in managing their behaviour, enabling them to reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

    Provide one-to-one and small group support to primary school students with challenging behaviour, implementing individualized behaviour management strategies in collaboration with the SENCO and class teacher.


    • Assist in the implementation of behaviour intervention plans, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as necessary to support student development.
    • Support students during classroom activities, ensuring they remain engaged and focused on their learning objectives.
    • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide consistent support and promote a collaborative approach to behaviour management.
    *Previous experience working with primary school students, particularly those with challenging behaviour, is desirable.

    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
    • Patience, empathy, and resilience in managing challenging situations and supporting students with diverse needs.
    • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
