    Description

    QA Automation Engineer 3-5 years exp - (Python/ CI/CD pipelining) Hybrid role - Exclusive to OCHO

    First QA Automation engineer hire needed for a US AI start-up with strong connections in the UK and NI. OCHO has previously onboarded two developers with excellent feedback. This is a great opportunity for a QA engineer looking for a fast-track career growth.

    As the sole QA Automation Engineer in our client's computer vision team, you will have complete ownership of testing and delivering the vision engine service. This containerized application, with multi-model inference pipelines, is a crucial component of the larger platform.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for the vision engine service.
    • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing on containerized applications.
    • Collaborate with the development team to understand the architecture of the multi-model inference pipeline.
    • Identify, document, and track bugs, working closely with the development team to resolve issues.
    • Automate testing processes using appropriate frameworks and tools to enhance efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software quality assurance.
    • Monitor and analyze test results, providing detailed reports and feedback.
    • Participate in code reviews from a QA perspective.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends in QA methodologies and technologies.
    • Benchmark the computer vision pipelines for optimal performance.

    Ideal candidate:

    • 5-6 years of commercial experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a QA Engineer, ideally in a computer vision or AI/ML environment.
    • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
    • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks like PyTest.
    • Proficiency in Python programming language.
    • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools, such as GitHub Actions.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
