We are currently recruiting for a Yacht Underwriter to join our established and experienced Marine Underwriting team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your Role
This role involves working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth. You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques to help achieve this growth. This applies to new and/or existing cases within our agreed process and defined underwriting appetite.
You will spend most of your time working with your selected brokers, identifying, discussing, negotiating and converting new and existing business opportunities and making effective underwriting decisions. Within this role you will be underwriting Yachts and Super Yachts with values up to £800m dollars.
Our account within Yacht Underwriting has grown massively within the last 9 months and we have ambitious plans to grow this further and are on target to achieve this plan. It is an exciting time to be joining RSA in this underwriting space.
About You
To be successful in your role of Yacht Underwriter you will require experience in Yacht Underwriting. This could be from another insurer or MGA market. You will have the opportunity to attend Regional boat shows like Southampton and Monaco.
You will be able to build working relationships with insurance brokers and write profitable business to ensure growth of the account.
