Account Manager
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per year, depending on experience
Location: Braintree, Essex
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8am-4:30pm & Friday 8am-2pm
Are you a driven individual with exceptional customer service abilities? Do you excel in a dynamic setting? Our client, a reputable manufacturing company, is in search of an Account Manager to join their vibrant team in Braintree, Essex.
As an Account Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Communicate with external and internal customers, including end users, Technical Support, Planning/Logistics, and Sales
- Identify new business prospects and promote additional services when suitable
- Handle incoming inquiries via fax, telephone, and email
- Maintain customer order reports for precise order tracking
- Enter customer orders/sample requests promptly into the system
- Inform management of new contracts and pricing agreements requested by Key Account Managers
- Review, analyze, and advance orders, escalating issues as needed
- Engage in customer visits and deliver exceptional service in face-to-face interactions
- Aid in the returns administrative procedure following quality standards
- Collaborate with the Finance Department to manage credit, issue credit/debit notes, and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Continuously assess business procedures, offer improvement suggestions, and implement best practices
- Work closely with Sales and Planning teams to develop accurate part-by-part forecasts
- Attend meetings and reviews as necessary, ensuring effective team communication
- Report any critical issues to management promptly
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and legal obligations
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar account management or sales role
- Proficient communication capabilities across various channels
- Strong IT skills including MS Office, Excel, and databases
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
- High numerical proficiency and keen attention to detail
- Proactive and responsive to customer needs
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Professional and adaptable with the capacity to perform under pressure
