    CMA Recruitment Group is collaborating with an SME business located in Hedge End that operates within a thrilling industry sector. They are in need of an enthusiastic and determined Finance Assistant who is eager to be part of their journey to success.

    Despite being an SME, this company is on an upward path and requires a competent Finance Assistant to assist with their accounting tasks. The role provides flexibility with either full-time or part-time hours, involving various transactional responsibilities and aiding in the creation of management accounts. The position can accommodate candidates seeking around 30 hours per week and offers hybrid work options after a suitable training period.

    Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:

    • Cash Flow management
    • Credit control
    • Reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards
    • Purchase ledger tasks such as processing invoices and handling supplier statements
    • Sales ledger maintenance
    • Assistance with monthly payroll and pension payments
    • Month-end processes
    • Quarterly VAT returns
    • Handling monthly payroll and pension processes

    Desired qualifications for the Finance Assistant role:

    • Proficiency in purchase and sales ledger tasks
    • Familiarity with general ledger operations
    • Basic knowledge of financial statements
    • Experience with Sage software is beneficial
    • Attention to detail and precision
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
