    Strategic Optimisation Networks Engineer - Water Recycling

    Circa £46,000 depending on skills and experience and car allowance

    Permanent

    Full time - 37 hours a week?

    Offering flexibility to work from home or office - must be able to attend sites and meetings

    Location: Based with the Anglian Water region (covering areas such as Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Northamptonshire)

    We are looking for Strategic Optimization Networks Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in identifying, validating, and integrating digital capabilities into our water recycle networks. Collaborating closely with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders, you'll be instrumental in shaping investment opportunities that harness technology to enhance performance and transform operational strategies.

    What does it take to be a SO Networks Engineer?

    • Technical skills, experience & knowhow in mechanical, electrical and IOT/telemetry. ?
    • Track record of working in a data environment and manipulating data??
    • Strong technical knowledge of analysis, geospatial information and various data modelling tools??
    • A good record of initiating solutions to overcome problems?by tackling cause not symptoms??
    • Experience in systems-based thinking, preferably in the water sector??
    • Track record of building and managing productive, credible business relationships with colleagues and managers??
    • Good knowledge of the AWS business?and Water Recycling assets and processes??
    • Good understanding of IT systems and applications, along with excellent IT skills?overall??
    • Professional qualification such as IET/ CIWM or equivalent would be advantageous??
    • Possesses strong communication skills, objectivity and professionalism?with ability to constructively challenge and collaborate??
    • Strong organisational and prioritising skills and the ability to deliver quality outputs within extremely tight deadlines??
    • Full driving license is essential

    Key duties will include:?

    • Responsibility for developing new solutions which enhance control and visualisation within the sewerage network??
    • Carrying out technical assessments of assets to understand feasibility and viability of projects ahead of any design work??
    • Utilising the appropriate business systems (IRIS, SAP etc.) to provide supportive data??
    • Producing the technical design of potential optimisation solutions??
    • Identification of the impact on operating models and communication to internal stakeholders??
    • Testing and validating solutions in the operational environment??
    • Development of cost models for all solutions??
    • Monitoring of outputs of any installation project as?appropriate, ensuring?the correct measures are defined??
    • Provision of supervision across in-house and contracted resource, for the delivery of capital, where necessary??
