    Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Exciting Opportunity at a Specialist Consultancy in Durham

    Are you an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer looking for a new challenge? Look no further! Our client, a well-established specialist with over 40 years of experience in providing expert geotechnical advice, is seeking a passionate individual to join their team in Durham.

    Required qualifications and experience:

    • Degree in Geology or Civil Engineering
    • MSc or PhD in Geology, Geotechnical, or Civil Engineering
    • Prior experience as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer
    • Background in contracting and consultancy
    • Effective communication and report writing skills
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    Key responsibilities:

    • Project and company-level planning, budgeting, and financial management
    • Team leadership and subcontractor management
    • Client business development and relationship maintenance
    • Acting as a technical expert for clients and regulators
    • Training and mentoring junior staff
    • Preparation and oversight of reports and design specifications
    • Offering technical advice and ensuring compliance of deliverables
