    We're hiring a Learning and Development Facilitator to lead and facilitate our training initiatives in our new Genomics England's Leadership and Management Academy.

    You'll design, implement, iterate and project manage learning programs, focusing on filling skill gaps and nurturing talent. This role involves project management and overseeing our Leadership and Management Academy to grow future leaders at Genomics England.

    You'll be very hands on in this role, L&D is a small, super busy team and you will collaborate closely with the Head of L&D and LMS Coordinator in a dynamic, supportive environment.

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    Scope, design, facilitate, evaluate, and administrate various development programmes (including executive and leadership training, coaching, new manager toolkit, online training)
    Manage and grow Genomics England's Management Academy in line with Genomics England's leadership behaviours and competency framework
    Evaluate outcomes of learning activities and ensure training effectiveness and return on investment (ROI)
    Empower employees, managers and leaders to feel ownership of their professional and personal growth through impactful programming and delivery of programmes, toolkits and other resources
    Facilitate learning programmes and create relevant content to address learning needs, with excellent facilitator ratings

    Manage the communication, and administration of scheduling and registration to track employee training participation and progress It's also important that you are able to attend our Canary Wharf offices on average 3 days a week, in order to facilitate training sessions in person.

    Essential experience we are looking for:

    End-to-end training management, including discovery, scoping, stakeholder liaison, live training delivery, advertising, participant onboarding, and feedback gathering.

    Facilitation skills:
    comfortable, experienced, natural and flexible, able to adapt to audience reactions (up to 30 people).

    Program management:
    proficient in project management, including working with suppliers.

    Flexibility:
    able to be in the office to facilitate up to 3 days a week.

    Tech-savvy: capable of running 360 reports, managing a LMS, proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, presenting on screens, and troubleshooting technical issues.


    Quick thinking:
    self-driven and solutions-oriented, adept at thinking on your feet.

    Additional Information

    Salary from £53,000.

    Genomics England operates a blended working model as we know our people appreciate the flexibility. We expect most people to come into the office 2 times each month as a minimum. However, this will vary according to role and will be agreed with your team leader.

    There is no expectation that staff will return to the office full time unless they want to, however, some of our roles require you to be on site full time e.g., lab teams, reception team.


    Our teams and squads have, and will continue to, reflect on what works best for them to work together successfully and have the freedom to design working patterns to suit, beyond the minimum.

    Our office locations are Canary Wharf, Cambridge and Leeds.
