    Job Title: Head of Finance

    • Location: Solihull-Hybrid
    • Type: Permanent-Full Time

    Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer and closely collaborating with the finance leadership team, the Head of Finance will have full responsibility for overseeing financial operations to ensure strict compliance with policies, procedures, and control standards for local, regulatory, and group reporting.

    Developing a strategic roadmap for the finance team is crucial to driving continuous enhancements that contribute value to the organization.

    Key responsibilities include maintaining high-quality financial accounting and reporting standards enterprise-wide, promoting financial awareness throughout the business.

    • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures to maintain strong financial control across all finance departments.
    • Work closely with various departments within BNP Paribas Personal Finance on financial matters to ensure alignment with all requests and standards.
    • Lead a team focused on robust accounting and financial control activities, emphasizing tight balance sheet control and monthly account reconciliations.
    • Take charge of all financial controls within the finance department, conducting ongoing risk assessments to adapt and enhance the control environment for effective risk management.
    • Formulate a clear strategy for the finance function in line with company and department objectives to drive key activities and collaborate with team members to achieve transformation goals.
    • Produce timely and accurate financial reports for statutory purposes and entities, ensuring comprehensive control over all areas.
    • Supervise a finance team engaged in financial analysis, building strong relationships with business management, and offering valuable insights on financial matters.
    • Collaborate with peers on financial activities to ensure cohesion across all functions.
    • Develop and deliver relevant periodic reporting and analysis for management to grasp financial performance and key performance indicators.
    • Gain a deep understanding of business activities, proactively investigating to maintain adequate risk management and controls.
    • Support finance and broader business units with ad hoc project work as needed.
    • Lead, mentor, and nurture a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
