    Otology & Hearing Implant Specialist Support Nurse
    Band 6

    You will be involved in and carry out holistic nursing assessments for patients under the otology and hearing implant team including pre-assessment clinics, microsuction clinics and post-operative review clinics.

    You will work actively with the multidisciplinary team and you will be supported by the Hearing Implant and Otology Clinical Nurse Specialist.

    ENT anatomy
    Otology surgical procedures and implant surgery

    Excellent communication skills, to work well within an MDT team and to appropriately support your patient group and their family throughout the patient pathway from diagnosis, treatment/surgery and follow up and discharge.

    Provision of specialist clinical care such as arranging audiological investigations, laboratory investigations, radiology investigations and making onward referrals, under the guidance of the Clinical Nurse Specialist.

    Support with education of junior staff members
    The post holder is responsible for the provision of high quality, patient focused care within the ENT (otology) department
    Responsible for assessing, developing and implementing specialist nursing care programmes
    Responsible for providing specialist advice and support to, and liaising with, other staff
