    Ashton Medical Practice are looking to recruit TWO Medical Receptionist/Administrators to work in our friendly Practice based in Springburn Health Centre which is located on Springburn Way.

    The TWO vacancies are for 45 hours per week in total from 8.30am-6pm. These hours are for TWO posts and can be job shared. Additional cover for holidays and absence may occasionally be required so flexibility is key.

    The role will suit someone who has several years experience working in a GP Practice using EMIS and Docman. The ideal candidate will be used to working using their own initiative in a fast paced environment but is also happy to work as part of a well established team. We are looking for an experienced, courteous, efficient, reliable and enthusiastic team member who has excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to multi-task.

    Our reception staff play a key role in the Practice and are the first point of contact for patients either by telephone or face to face and as such the candidate should have experience in a Medical Practice, excellent communication skills, be computer literate, enthusiastic, reliable and be a motivated individual.

    Duties include some of the following:
    Making appointments via telephone or face to face;
    Workflow management of clinical documents;
    Mail handling;
    Scanning and filing;
    Prescription processing;
    Signposting of patients;
    Liaising with pharmacies;
    and other duties.

    Hourly pay will depend on experience.
