    Business Development Representative

    Location: Reading (3 days in the office/2 days at home)

    £28-32k basic salary plus bonuses

    Our client who has a strong team of 70 talented and fun people and over 10 blue-chip current clients . They are on a big growth trajectory and are building the team to help us capitalize on the growth opportunity ahead. They are looking for a Business Development Representative and in this dynamic role you will have the opportunity to drive impactful outcomes at the intersection of marketing and sales, while advancing your career in a collaborative and innovative environment.

    As a Business Development Representative within the Marketing function, your primary purpose is to bridge the gap between marketing and sales, driving the growth and success of our organization by generating high-quality leads and appointments.

    Your role is integral in translating marketing efforts into tangible sales opportunities. Through strategic prospecting and effective utilization of best-in-class sales tools, you will identify and qualify potential leads, nurturing them into valuable opportunities for our sales team. Your mission is to collaborate closely with both marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment on objectives and strategies, ultimately contributing to the achievement of revenue goals.

    Duties

      • Proactively prospect and qualify potential leads through outbound calls, emails, social media and other channels to generate appointments and sales opportunities.
      • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to develop and execute strategic lead generation plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives and goals.
      • Apply data-driven insights to identify target audiences and develop targeted outreach strategies that effectively engage and nurture potential leads.
      • Utilize best-in-class sales tools and technologies to streamline processes, optimize lead generation, and enhance overall sales performance.
      • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, lead interactions, and customer information using CRM software.
      • Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
      • Build and nurture strong relationships with prospects, understanding their needs and challenges to effectively position our products or services.
      • Work closely with the Sales team to run discovery calls and identify prospect needs and challenges using proven methodologies like BANT criteria.
      • Analyze and report on key performance metrics and lead generation KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement and optimization of marketing initiatives.
      • Participate in regular training sessions and professional development activities to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.

    Skills and Experience

      • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
      • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales or demand generation role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Ideally in a SaaS or technology-driven environment. Previous experience in Learning is a plus.
      • Proficiency in using industry-leading sales tools such as HubSpot, Sales Navigator desirable
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
      • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mindset and the ability to build rapport quickly.
      • Highly motivated and target-driven, with a passion for sales and achieving results.
      • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
      • A team player who enjoys working with others and contributing to the success of the team.
