Accountable for the overall trading performance (revenue and profit) of our website. Overall P&L observation responsibility from revenue down to net contribution.Define and deliver the on-site merchandising strategy in line with the trading plan, ensuring the right products are featured at the right time and place to maximise revenue/profitability AND deliver the best possible customer experienceOversee regular site audits and testing, ensuring all products, pricing & promotions are executed correctly Work alongside your counterparts across B&M and Marketing teams and finance, feed into the Promotional Calendar for the year and hold responsibility for the creation and management of the Trading Plan which should align to the Promotional CalendarResponsible for the planning and execution of day-to-day trading activities (e.g pricing/promotions & content/campaigns) on site in line with the Promotional CalendarOwnership of website KPIs (Conversion Rate, Bounce Rate, Average Order Value etc) and responsible for the regular reporting of the website (s) trading performance, providing detailed analysis of key business metrics and clear actions where required Use analytical tools to provide insights and identify areas of opportunity and drive performance and implement accordingly Provide solutions and action plans in response to any trends or issues found when performing data analysis as well as suggesting areas for further analysis by the Data and FP&A team.
Continually look for ways to drive AOV, IPO and other core trading metrics. Manage a team of amazing e-commerce professionals and facilitate their growth through the business. Strategise and suggest ways the marketing team can utilise the site to drive initiatives and support the teams proactively. Produce trading and e-commerce reports with clear recommendations and actions.Work with our marketing teams and partners to obsess over SEO and can ensure technical recommendations are actioned in a timely manner.
Keep a keen eye on our competitors and market trends. Attend board and senior management meetings.Skills & Knowledge:
5+ years within ecommerce or trading with 2-3 of those in a senior role.
Track record growing eCommerce businessesCommercially savvy, forward-thinking, incredibly pro-active and have the agility to be re-active where necessary Strong online trading and merchandising experience Strong communication and organisational skills are a mustStrong attention to detailExperience of managing a small team Strong competency with GA4 and internal data warehouses to analyse and build reports on the website performanceUnderstanding and awareness of marketing practices Extensive knowledge of Magento2 Proven track record of growth with a performance-driven mindset.
Analytical/great with numbers and can interpret data to drive actionable insights. Experience motivating and managing a team of e-commerce professionals.
