    The Team:

    S&P Global Ratings Economic Research has an opportunity for a five-month internship in 2024. The internship could start between April and June. The position is available in London.

    The Impact:

    The successful candidate will be supervised by the Head of Climate Economics and Lead UK Economist and is likely to work with the rest of the economics team and the ESG Research team, amongst others.

    What you stand to Gain:

    You will help the team in daily macro-monitoring and quarterly forecasting tasks, as well as in ad hoc research work, particularly on the UK economy and Climate Economics.

    The candidate will have the chance to discover what economic forecasting and macro-risks monitoring entails, learn about macro-finance and how economic analysis is used in the context of credit ratings. She will also have the chance to engage and learn from the fast-moving research field of climate economics , collaborating with climate scientists and the sustainable finance research within S&P Global.

    Responsibilities:

    • Macro surveillance of the UK economy

    • Research on the macroeconomic dynamics of the green transition and physical risks

    • Literature reviews and databases analysis

    • Ad hoc quantitative macroeconomic analysis on topical issues

    • Drafting of short notes

    What We're Looking For:

    • Master Degree in Economics and English are required.

    • Econometrics and knowledge of tools like R, Python or Eviews is required.
