    Description
    Role – Payments Consultant – Product, Growth and Sales


    I'm working with a very exciting fintech business that is building a next-generation product that will improve the friction with associated with high value cross border payments.


    The successful candidate will be responsible for being involved in product development, pre sales and business development activities, covering international client base; nurturing existing clients, prospecting for new ones, and presenting in-depth product briefs.

    The focus of the role will be to develop and broaden the range of participants, be that FX brokers, money transfer operators (MTOs), payment service providers, through to Tier 1 commercial banks.

    Key Responsibilities


    Product (Strategic and Implementation)nMapping and maintaining senior relationships with clients, leading to revenue generation by demonstrating a deep understanding of clients' needs and product knowledge.nWork to add value to our prospects and clients by identifying their pain points and associated requirements, and working with business partner groups to prioritise our roadmap of enhancements and new developments.nDevelop and drive account reviews and implement plans to ensure broad and deep relationships are developed, valued and retained.nDemonstrate an in-depth understanding of our clients' cross-border, treasury and liquidity management business needs and change plans.nWork with the client through the full process.

    Selecting the potential businesses to work with, being client facing and heavily involved in pitches, managing clients through the integration, keeping in close contact afterwards to find new product opportunities.nWork closely with engineering teams and other product managers to develop the product offering.


    Business DevelopmentnBuild, grow and develop a prospect pipeline in alignment.nGrow the range of market contacts and identify opportunities to roll-out additional products and services.nProvide feedback on market activity to other business partner groups to ensure an understanding of the participant, competitor and client drivers and the potential impacts.nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with central banks.

    Required Skills & ExperiencenAt least 5-7 years' experience within financial services; with a strong financial services network.

    Experience of working within a fintech highly desirable.nExperience of selling payment and liquidity management solutions; with reasonable technical understanding of payments (including international) and ideally treasury too.nA strong knowledge of the cross-border Payments, FX and liquidity management industry, and the challenges it faces.nExcellent communication skills – both written and verbal – in EnglishnA critical thinker – strategic and analytical.nData obsessive – using metrics to manage your performance and improve your approach.nFamiliarity with CRM tools – direct experience with HubSpot an advantage.nUnimpeachable integrity.
