Salary:

Scale £20,065 - £21,677) Pro Rata plus 6% employer pension contribution


Contract Duration
Fixed Term until August 2026


Base:

Boston Office with locality office options


Hours of work
15 hours


Holidays:

28 days plus bank holidays. Pro Rata

Three days to be taken between Christmas and New Year (Business closure days)


Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) is expanding, and we are looking for a dynamic Communication and Marketing Assistant to join our team If you are passionate about effective communication, storytelling, and boosting the visibility of impactful organisations, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

As Marketing and Communication assistant, you will;

  • Work with the Marketing and Communication Manager to help develop and implement a Communications plan that will showcase the impact of the organisation.
  • Work with staff across the business to develop press releases and content that will highlight the work of LCVS and distribute this to maximise coverage
  • Ensure LCVS's website and other online platforms are regularly updated with content and monitor statistics that will measure effectiveness of communications.
  • Support the Insight and Data Manager to design, present and communicate information in an impactful and engaging way.
  • Maintain and develop the organisation contact database of media partners and publications


LCVS is an infrastructure organisation, and this role will work with a range of internal and external partners to increase the profile of the organisation and increase our reach across media and social media platforms.

You will;

  • Collect and review statistics around the reach and impact of out online platforms to ensure growth and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and produce newsletters, annual reports and other organisational publications
  • Ensure all publicity and online platforms are developed in line with the organisations branding guidelines.
  • Ensure all our online platforms are updated regularly with relevant and engaging information
  • Work with staff to identify and produce informative publicity materials and articles that will highlight our impact and create engaging content to communication this through the appropriate platform
  • Support the Marketing and Communication Manager with any other project and duties deemed necessary to effectively promote the work of LCVS.

Person Specification

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of data gathering, analysis, tools for monitoring online activity.
  • Knowledge of basic marketing routes and how to utilise them effectively.

Experience of

  • Using social media platforms to build reach and engagement
  • Creating online content
  • Working as part of a team and collaborating with others.
  • Writing press releases and other public facing communications and briefings
  • Developing and maintaining contact databases
  • Building effectively working relationships with partners to ensure key messages and communications are shared through the widest possible network.

Skills

  • Ability to analyse sets of data and draw conclusions and recommendations
  • A strong attention to detail with the ability to work to deadlines and ensuring that delivery is of the highest professional standard
  • Strong communicator that can work with people to draw out their story in their words.
  • Excellent IT skills and experience of using software packages
  • High level of literacy with the ability to proof read content.
