ICT and Administration Officer Trainee

Location:
Boston Office (Boston Borough Council, Municipal
Buildings)


Salary:
£19,387 - £20,150 per annum

Holidays: 28 days per year + all bank holidays.

Requirements: 37 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 08:45 to 17:00,

Friday 8:45 to 16:30.

You may be required to work additional hours when authorised and as necessitated by the needs of the organisation which may include working evenings and/or weekends.


About the Role:
To support the Central Services Manager to ensure excellent business administration and internal communication. The job will include providing ICT

Technical and Administrative support to assist with the general administration in support of the delivery of commissioned services and enable business development.

After a qualifying probation period, a supported Advanced Apprenticeship programme will be offered.

Purpose of Role:

  • To work alongside the ICT Lead to administrate all ICT equipment and packages that the organisation uses.
  • To ensure that the team is supported with their ICT.
  • To maintain the functionality of the organisation's ICT.
  • To promote all aspects of LCVS work to help develop stronger local communities.
  • To build and maintain external relationships to protect and enhance the reputation of Lincolnshire CVS.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
o Support service users (staff and external) with ICT. o Produce and respond to ICT ticket requests in an accurate and timely manner. o Be a flexible member of the Central Services team. o To work alongside the ICT Lead to develop, implement, maintain ICT systems. o To work alongside the ICT Lead to produce ICT analysis based on reports and statistics. o Abide by data protection guidelines. o System access support. o Be the first-instance ICT contact for the organisation. o Order and prepare ICT equipment as and when it is needed. o Provide ICT support remotely and in-person. o Identify and report loss/damages of ICT equipment. o Liaise with external third-party providers. o Technical support to LCVS base offices. o To work alongside the ICT Lead to provide training for staff on ICT. o To work alongside the ICT Lead to audit all ICT packages used on a regular basis. o Produce and maintain accurate records. o Provide limited ICT support for external organisations.


General duties and responsibilities:

  • To work in cooperation with other LCVS employees, adhering to all policies and procedures, including Equal Opportunities.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and complaints
  • To participate in regular supervision and appraisal meetings with the Line
Manager

  • To participate in any internal/ external meetings as required
  • The specific duties and responsibilities of this job description are not restrictive and the post holder will be expected to undertake any other duties as required
Requirements & Prospects

Desired Skills Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Experience of using/monitoring information systems would be an advantage
  • Good analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms

Desired GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent) at C/4 or above
