Research Assistant in R-loop biology - Oxford, United Kingdom - University of Oxford
Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Research Assistant to join Associate Professor Natalia Gromak's laboratory at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford.
The focus of the lab is to study the mechanisms behind non-canonical nucleic acid structures (R-loops) in health and diseases.
Applicants should have a BSc in biochemistry, molecular/cell biology, or genetics and a good understanding of gene expression.
Previous lab experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a team are key.
Expertise in transcription mechanisms, RNA processing, DNA damage, or R-loop biology is a plus.
Candidates with experience in genomic analyses, proteomics, imaging, iPS differentiation, and bioinformatics are encouraged to apply.
Training will be provided, especially for less standard protocols, although familiarity with some techniques is expected.
