    This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional to deliver a high quality service within a dynamic and rewarding environment.

    University of Bristol Students' Health Serviceis a GP practice for Bristol university students and their dependents.

    To apply for the role, you will be an experienced Mental Health Nurse or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a prescribing qualification.

    This is a full-time role working 5 days per week (Monday – Friday).

    We would consider part time applications:
    please state in your application if you are interested in part time hours. Occasional working on a Saturday or weekday evening, and some cover of university closure days is also required.

    You will work closely with the GP and Psychology teams within the practice to support student mental health, liaising with other support agencies, both within the University and in Secondary Care as required.

    You will work with the SHERPA (Student Health Emotional Regulation Pathway) to facilitate group working and assessment.
    You will be responsible for carrying out annual reviews for patients on the Mental Health Register.

    You will act as an independent nurse practitioner, demonstrating a high level of practice and knowledge whilst participating in direct evidence-based patient care.

    You are enthusiastic about working with young people, work well in a multidisciplinary environment and are confident to work with risk issues.

    Prior experience with therapeutic approaches such as Therapeutic Group facilitation, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy or Mentalisation based therapy would also be an advantage.

    The post holder will be expected to work autonomously in their individual clinical duties but will also work collaboratively with the Student Health Service Team in delivering care.

    Line management will be provided by the practice's nursing manager with regular psychological supervision provided by the lead clinical psychologist.

    There will be opportunities for further training and professional development.
