    Description

    The Client

    We present to you an exciting opportunity in the field of accounting within the Construction & Aggregate industry. Join a dynamic team under the guidance of the Finance Manager. This position is ideal for individuals with prior accounting experience in a fast-paced accounts environment, and who may either be pursuing or considering pursuing AAT certification.

    The Role

    • Incoming data management - Ensuring all documents are correctly stored, highlighting any critical documents to the relevant stakeholders.
    • Invoice Processing - Handling a significant volume (120 invoices per day).
    • Reconciling supplier accounts - Obtaining monthly statements, reconciling accounts, verifying receipt of all invoices, and accurately inputting values into the system.
    • Preparing invoices for payment - Compiling necessary supporting documentation, obtaining approvals, and confirming rates and quantities against purchase orders.
    • Monthly Payment runs - Ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
    • Dealing with queries - Addressing inquiries promptly to prevent backlogs and escalating potential issues to supervisors.
    • Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers to prevent account holds and disruptions to on-site operations, involving frequent communication via phone.
    • Liaising with external stakeholders to facilitate correct account setups and timely resolution of purchase orders and queries.
    • Conducting weekly bank payments.
