Student Community Coordinator - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom - Trinity College, Cambridge

    Default job background
    £50,000
    Description

Trinity College is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual who will play a crucial role in supporting the Junior Bursar's office in its administrative functions and contribute to the efficient operation of Trinity College, Cambridge, while also ensuring effective risk management practices are implemented and maintained.

Trinity College, founded in 1546 by Henry VIII, is the largest College in the University of Cambridge, steeped in centuries of history and innovation.

The beauty and size of Trinity's historic buildings and courts attract visitors from all over the world, but, with some 730 undergraduates, 340 graduate students, over 190 Fellows and around 350 non-academic staff the College is also a thriving, modern community.

It exists to give its members a rewarding, richly resourced, and intellectually inspiring place in which to pursue their education and research.

The Junior Bursar is responsible for the operational management of the College, directly supervising most Heads of Department and coordinating the activity of others.

As a member of Council and several key College Committees, the Junior Bursar influences key decisions and ensures the delivery of the College's short-term and long-term priorities.

Reporting directly to the Junior Bursar, the Committee Coordinator at Trinity College serves as a pivotal administrative figure within the JB's Office.

By pro-actively leading the activity of the Office, you'll wield significant influence in shaping the future of the iconic estate, ensuring its preservation and adaptability for generations to come.

Guiding decisions on sustainability and accessibility, you'll champion inclusive practices that treasure the college's heritage while meeting the needs of a diverse community.

You will orchestrate the seamless coordination of governance processes, overseeing critical operational matters such as student and Fellow's accommodation, essential to the college's way of life and delivering a safe, well-maintained environment to ensure excellence.

Trinity College offers a dynamic platform for governance professionals like yourself to make a tangible impact, where each decision shapes not only the physical landscape but also the ethos of excellence and innovation now, and for generations to come.

The successful candidate must have exceptional writing skills with a keen eye for detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You must have Board level secretariat experience, preferably within an academic or institutional setting and strong organisational skills. Experience of line management and managing risks and budgets is also essential. A strong proficiency in Microsoft Office/other relevant software applications is highly desirable.

Trinity College prides itself on being a friendly employer which offers competitive rates of pay and terms and conditions.

In addition to offering 25 days of holiday (plus 8 public holidays) a year, free lunch when working on-site, a generous pension scheme, private family health care, a cycle to work scheme (tax-free benefit) and a variety of health and social activities.

Applicants should complete the College application form setting out why you have applied for this role, with specific examples of how you meet the requirements of the post and submit a Curriculum Vitae.

If you are interested in this role and wish to discuss further, please call Monika Frackiewicz – PA to the Junior Bursar on
