    Description

    Harper May is partnering with a renowned construction company recognized for its top-notch workmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. They are presently in search of a dynamic and seasoned Head of Finance to become part of their team.

    The Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, encompassing planning and analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The perfect candidate will possess a robust finance background, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the capacity to thrive in a high-energy setting.

    Key Duties:

    • Develop and execute financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure conformity with regulatory mandates and industry standards.
    • Supervise the financial planning and analysis procedure, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
    • Draft and present financial reports to senior executives, covering monthly financial statements, quarterly projections, and annual budgets.
    • Provide financial counsel and assistance to various departments in the company, such as project managers and business development teams.
    • Oversee the management of the company's cash flow and working capital to guarantee financial liquidity and stability.
    • Manage the accounting functions of the company, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
    • Organize and oversee the yearly audit process, involving interactions with external auditors and preparation of audit schedules.
    • Recognize and implement enhancements to processes to streamline financial workflows and enhance efficiency.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and top practices in finance and accounting.

    Qualifications:

    • Preferably a qualification in finance (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
    • At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, especially in the construction sector.
    • Strong analytical and troubles-solving abilities.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management tools.
