    Senior Design Manager - Building Experience

    The Senior Design Manager will be responsible for co-ordinating the design elements and interfaces of specific task or project dependent on size and complexity. They will fully understand and manage the design requirements of the tender/project ensuring that the design is delivered in line with the programme requirements and is of a quality that reflects the budget constraints.

    You will be:
    • Liaising with Site Management for the development of the design package and procurement strategies.
    • Managing design consultants and sub consultants along with design subcontractors to ensure correct and timely delivery of all design related information for the execution of the works on site..
    • Undertaking design audits on projects as and when required and report back to the director in charge.
    • Attending production meetings and input to all design issues.
    You will have:
    • A degree in structural/civil engineering
    • 5+ years' experience working in the Construction or Engineering consultancy Industry
    • Demonstratable Temporary Works procedure, Design Approval process, CDM for Designers, CDM Awareness experience.
    • The ability to manage a full design team and oversee design manager and design coordinators
    • Experience of working at pre-construction stage
    • Understanding of D&B contracts
    • Commercial and residential awareness
