We are currently looking for an experienced Buyer to work within a large well established manufacturing company based in Coseley.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity to join a busy, progressive purchasing department.

Main duties of the Buyer, will be:

  • Identifying the organisations purchasing needs
  • Researching, selecting and purchasing quality products and materials
  • Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities and delivery timescales
  • Processing requisitions and updating management on the status of orders
  • Updating inventory and managing stock levels
  • Understanding the target market and analysing trends in order to make informed buying decisions
  • Management and responsibility for Nonconformance of Products
  • Hold relevant experience in Purchasing/Buyer
  • Be commercial awareness
  • Have strong negotiating skills
  • Have the ability to make confident key decisions.
  • Ability to cope with pressure and adapt to situations
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong Maths & IT skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative or part of a team
  • Good organisational and Time Management Skills
This role is Full time working Monday - Thursday 8.15am - 5pm, Friday 8.15am - 2pm

Holiday Entitlement 25 days per year

Salary starting from £25,000 - negotiable depending on skills and experience
