Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Buyer to work within a large well established manufacturing company based in Coseley.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity to join a busy, progressive purchasing department.Main duties of the Buyer, will be:
- Identifying the organisations purchasing needs
- Researching, selecting and purchasing quality products and materials
- Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities and delivery timescales
- Processing requisitions and updating management on the status of orders
- Updating inventory and managing stock levels
- Understanding the target market and analysing trends in order to make informed buying decisions
- Management and responsibility for Nonconformance of Products
- Hold relevant experience in Purchasing/Buyer
- Be commercial awareness
- Have strong negotiating skills
- Have the ability to make confident key decisions.
- Ability to cope with pressure and adapt to situations
- Analytical skills
- Strong Maths & IT skills
- Ability to work on own initiative or part of a team
- Good organisational and Time Management Skills
Holiday Entitlement 25 days per year
Salary starting from £25,000 - negotiable depending on skills and experience
