The Role
Responsibilities:
- Onboarding/offboarding of hires and terms across various systems
- Managing employee data, including the organization's headcount file
- Salary administration, i.e., ensuring what is being paid is correct, for 350+ employees
- Liaising with HR to ensure necessary modifications are reflected in payroll report outputs
- Thorough review of monthly adhoc payroll inputs prior to approval deadlines
- Ensure timely processing and remittance of payroll
- Fielding questions from employees regarding their individual payroll situations
- Booking payroll entries in the accounting system
- Quarterly payroll reconciliations
- Explaining month over month salary variances during financial statement reviews
- Employee expense administration
- Assisting with audit items as they relate to payroll
- Other adhoc assignments/projects to assist the Finance Team
Requirements:
- BS/BBA in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- 2+ years prior experience processing and recording payroll (both domestic and international)
- Knowledge of payroll taxes, including (but not limited to) FICA, PAYE, National Insurance, MPF
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent timemanagement skills, proven ability to meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment
- Critical attention to detail, especially as it pertains to numerical aptitude
- Exerts professional judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Ability to prioritize requests as they come in while multitasking efficiently
