    Compliance & Sustainability Manager (12 month FTC - Maternity cover)

    We are currently recruiting for a Compliance & Sustainability Manager to work based in Billericay, Essex on a full time, 12 month FTC basis.

    This role will be a hybrid split between the office and home.

    Primary purpose:In this role you are responsible for ensuring the compliance of our supply base at DCK. Your decisions are based on the direction and strategy of the business aligned to global compliance requirements and sustainability deliverables.

    Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for risk assessments of DCK products to ensure DCK compliance with legislation, host requirements and general safety standards
  • Monitor testing results, taking appropriate actions where necessary always considering safety and commerciality
  • Manage and amend as required DCK's RSL, being aware of the global direction of the business
  • Responsible for management of testing budget alongside any costs associated with audits or sustainability
  • Responsible for ensuring that DCK has a compliant supply base and the audits are carried out as necessary with documentation monitored and maintained
  • Responsible for working with host retail partners to ensure that DCK's suppliers are accurately registered on their systems ensuring a suitable supply base is registered with each host at all times
  • Contribute to DCK's wider supplier strategy utilising compliance and audit performance of existing supply base to drive decision making
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hosts and 3rd party partners through regular and effective communication
  • Manage the delivery of DCK sustainability goals and targets
  • Skills and qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of risk assessment procedures
  • In depth knowledge of legislation on product safety, audits and sustainability
  • Prior experience of risk assessments in a jewellery, toy or childrenswear environment
  • Budget management experience
  • Accurate with excellent attention to detail
  • Organised and diligent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
