    Description

    Established for over 40 years, Brightwake is a well established, family owned medical device manufacturer located in North Nottinghamshire. As well as manufacturing our own branded advanced woundcare products, a percentage of our business has always been dedicated to manufacturing on behalf of OEM customers. We are currently looking for a suitably experienced individual to maintain existing and develop new business in this OEM sector.

    The role will therefore involve much of the time in the field developing contacts, with some visits to head office in Kirkby. A monthly car allowance will apply to this role in addition to the advertised salary.

    The successful candidate must be educated to GCSE Grade A or B in both English and Maths, and educational to a degree level or higher would be an advantage.

    A knowledge of the medical device market would be also be desirable but not essential.

    As the nature of the role involves national and international travel, it is essential that applicants have a full , clean UK driving licence, hold a passport, and do not have a criminal record.

    Candidates should be aware that potentially around 80% of travel will be international. They should therefore have a flexible approach to working hours depending on commercial needs, whilst also having a positive and energetic mindset, and an ability to remain cool in a fast paced environment. They should demonstrate drive and a proactive approach, with a strong desire to achieve and exceed sales targets.

    1. OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

    As an OEM Medical Device Sales Manager, your main responsibility is to drive sales and business development for medical devices on a national and international basis expanding the OEM's presence in these markets.

    To work as a team with all other departments to deliver the objectives of the business.

    2. MAIN TASK AND RESPONSIBILTIES

    · Sales Strategy

    Developing and implementing sales strategies to penetrate national and international markets, achieving and exceeding sales targets.

    · Market Research

    Conducting market research to identify potential customers, competitors, and market trends. Using this information to develop effective sales strategies and identifying new business opportunities.

    · Customer Relationship Management

    Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and distributors. Providing excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns, and resolving any issues in a professional and timely manner.

    · Sales Forecasting and Reporting

    Monitoring of sales performance and analysing data to assist in preparation of sales reports. Using information gathered to forecast future sales and identifying areas for improvement which in turn will drive the development of action plans.

    · International Business Development

    Identifying and evaluating potential business opportunities in international markets and establishing partnerships to expand the OEM's present globally.

    · Compliance and Regulations

    Ensuring compliance with international regulations and standards which govern medical device sales. Ensuring up to date knowledge of the standards and regulations.

    · Negotiation and Contract Management

    Leading negotiations with customers and distributors, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the OEM. Managing contract agreements and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

    · Sales Presentations and Demonstrations

    Conduction product presentations and demonstrations to potential customers in a professional manner. Effectively communicating the features, benefits and value proposition of the medical devices.

    · Sales Forecasting and Budgeting

    Preparing sales forecasts and budgets for international markets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.

    · Cross-functional Collaboration

    Collaborating with other departments throughout the business such as Marketing, Engineering, and operations to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.

    3. In proportion to job responsibilities:

    · Ensure knowledge and compliance of all Health & Safety Policies and Procedures

    · Knowledge of the full Brightwake Product range

    · Ensure effective communications

    · Ensure knowledge of and compliance with all Company Policies, Procedures and Rules.

    · Undertake any additional responsibilities as required.

    · Work effectively with other teams towards business objectives
