    Job summary

    The post holder will provide a full and comprehensive administrative service to the Managing Emotions Programme. You will provide a welcoming and approachable first point of contact to people who access the MEP service and to the professionals and services we work alongside. To work autonomously using your own initiative to manage the demands of providing admin support and supervising the band 3 administrator. Prioritising and organising day to day workload whilst maintaining confidentiality of information throughout the full range of duties involved.

    Suitable for someone who is able to work independently, co-ordinate multiple demands effectively and use initiative to address issues as they arise. Suitable for someone who is patient and compassionate to others' difficulties and is able to communicate clearly on the phone and in writing and interested in being part of services committed to improving the lives of those living with difficulties associated with personality disorder.

    Main duties of the job

    Schedule face to face and virtual courses using the agreed online platform, liaising with external venues, completing appropriate risk assessments and organising payment where necessary.

    Telephone and face to face communication with group members, ensuring a compassionate service that supports their engagement with the programme and their overall recovery journey. Providing timely, efficient and inclusive updates to group members and volunteers, in order to help them feel connected and supported.

    Co-ordination of file and record systems to ensure information is held securely and easily accessible by appropriate team members. Dealing with the day-to-day demands of both Managing Emotions Programme. Troubleshooting problems using initiative, and escalating relevant matters to the service manager

    Receive and process referral forms and update required systems

    Provide day to day supervision and monitoring of workload for two Band 3 administrators

  • oNVQ Level 4 in Business Admin or equivalent experience (4 years)
  • Experience

    Essential

  • 4 years' experience of clerical and administrative work requiring a high degree of accuracy and working in accordance with policies/procedures
  • Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office suite of programmes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, as well as e-mail and internet
  • Previous experience working in a mental health setting talking directly to patients either by phone or in person.
