- Responsible for managing and developing the Partnership contracts work-plan with regard to the category spend allocated in order to drive the category workload and ensure effective contract coverage. Work and liaise with all Partnership staff to ensure an effective programme for category contract coverage as appropriate for benefit realisation for Partner Trusts
- Identify QIPP/CIP projects and take briefs to the formal Partner Trust groups where appropriate to agree development/management of the projects
- Participate in Logistics projects as directed by Partnership management
- Support and advise stakeholders on the Partner Trust's relevant Standing Financial Instructions, UK Procurement legislation and Procedural Pathways
- Using the Partnership E-Tendering system carry out specific high value, complex and strategic procurement exercises in line with Partner rusts SFI's and UK legislation, including compiling tender documentation, commercial and supply chain risk assessments, ensuring evaluations are carried out in accordance with agreed and appropriate evaluation strategies, debriefing unsuccessful suppliers to avoid legal challenges. To be responsible for the development and implementation of Partnership operational policies and the production of strategies and policies relating to the category
- To undertake regular reviews of contractual performance with suppliers and stakeholders to achieve improvements where required
- Good understanding of the risks for category product evaluations and how to mitigate against risks
- Liaise with the Systems Manager on the provision of IT, contract support and admin services;
- Within consortium tender projects evaluate and recommend preferred tendering and evaluation strategies to maximise benefit realisation for the Partner Trusts
- To undertake any other tasks allocated by senior management.
- Be a strategic thinker with good analytical skills, and bring a commercial and analytical mindset, with a focus on cost efficiencies, value add, and cash releasing savings
- Be an agile and dynamic team worker with the ability "hit the ground running" and contribute quickly and effectively at a senior level
