We are currently recruiting for a Performance Analysis Support Officer to work for Devon and Cornwall Police on a Hybrid capacity at their Police HQ in Middlemoor.

This is a temporary ongoing role working Mon - Friday 37 hours a week.


PLEASE NOTE:

DUE TO POLICE VETTING CRITERIA THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST HAVE BEEN RESIDING WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS.


The overall purpose of the role is to:To provide accurate information on police recorded data to internal and external customers including inputting data; assessing the accuracy of recorded data; analysing data; and providing high quality reports and information packages for both qualitative and quantitative data in order to report on performance and improve recording accuracy


KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS:


  • To provide accurate reliable and timely performance data products in the form of regular and ad hoc requests for customers at all levels.
  • Audit Force Crime and Incident systems to identify and report on compliance rates in line with National policies and guidance.
  • Collection and collation of data.
  • Act as initial Departmental liaison with other business units and teams. Provide technical/ specialist advice and guidance.
  • Data checking and reading.
  • Shows innovation and originality in response to problems and is flexible when considering a course of action.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ROLE

  • Demonstrable skills in the Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrable skills in gathering information from a number of sources and present that information in a written format, including tables, charts and graphs.
  • Good numeracy skills and an outline knowledge of statistics
  • Demonstrable capability to interrogate and accurately update databases.
  • Good planning and organising skills
  • Excellent customer care skills, with a proven ability to meet customer expectations
  • Experience in working as part of a team with mínimal supervision.
