Are you a critical disability studies researcher? Have you worked to promote disability research? Are you a researcher with a lived experience of disability, or a disabled researcher?


We are recruiting a Research Associate who will be based in the School of Education and iHuman (an interdisciplinary research institute at the University of Sheffield) to take a key role in supporting the delivery on a body of scholarship in relation to issues of equality, inclusion and diversity with a particular focus on disability.

You will be mentored by Professor Rebecca Lawthom & will be joining a community of disability researchers.


You will:

- have experience of writing and research.
- be committed to working as part of a team.
- have experience of writing up research findings in various formats from images to text.


The post requires a researcher with experience of and/or willingness to engage theoretically and analytically with secondary data who also has a keen interest in writing and scholarship.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work across an interdisciplinary team.
