    Robertson Bell is thrilled to partner with this esteemed heritage-based charity to recruit a Commercial Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to apply their commercial expertise within the not-for-profit sector, overseeing the financial operations of the charity's trading arm.

    In this role, you will:

    • Deliver comprehensive management accounting for the trading subsidiary, and conduct variance analysis, commentaries, and performance reporting.
    • Manage financial aspects of major projects, including a £27 million capital initiative and a £3 million decarbonisation project for existing sites.
    • Serve as a finance business partner to key budget holders, such as Heads of Retail, Events, and Catering. Facilitate monthly financial performance review meetings and challenge budget holders on spending.
    • Partner with auditors to deliver annual reports, prepare main financial statements, and support the Head of Finance with data for committee and Board meetings.
    • Assist the Head of Finance in budgeting processes by gathering and analysing financial data to aid decision making.

    The successful candidate will:

    • Be an experienced candidate who is actively studying towards their CCAB qualification.
    • Have a background working within the commercial sector in a medium-sized organisation
    • Demonstrate a proactive attitude, a strong desire to learn, and a commitment to enhancing their financial skillset.
    • Have a proven track record in roles encompassing a wide range of responsibilities, including management accounts, financial accounting, and project accounting.
