A highly motivated and delivery focussed individual with a wide-range of work-based skills founded on experience gained from challenging roles in the hospitality, agricultural, medical, veterinary, and educational sectors. Experience as a hotel, bar, shop, and catering assistant demonstrates my ability to be flexible, adaptable, and reliable. 2023 January-Present: British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA)- Events Administrator (Full-time)
Provided administrative support for Europe's largest small animal veterinary conference, including assisting delegates with registrations and payments. Demonstrated the ability to work under my own initiative and complete complex projects to a high standard. Contributed a high level of commercial awareness and demonstrated the ability to work in a multi-tasking environment while providing excellent customer service.
2022 October- December: St Rose’s School- Office Administrator, UK (Full-time, Temp)
Responsible for arranging internal meetings, preparing documents and minute taking for student education, health and care plans (EHCPs). Demonstrated sound IT skills by being able to use Microsoft Office software, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of internal information. Within this role, I also displayed the ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations, including face-to-face, via telephone or within groups.
2022 June-October: Jolly Nice Farm Shop- Shop Assistant, UK (Full-time)
Duties included serving customers in a friendly and conversational manner, completing stock takes and preparing displays. Demonstrated the ability to ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining a positive and upbeat attitude. Leadership and flexibility were also demonstrated by working unsociable hours and taking responsibility for new hire training.
2020- 2021 September- August: Pinkham Equine Veterinary Services- Office Administrator, UK (Full-time)
Duties included handling telephone enquiries and e-mails, arranging referrals, diary management, liaison with clients and clinical record acquisition. Administration duties also included following up payments, invoicing, and insurance administration. Self-management and organisational skills were demonstrated by managing the pharmacy independently, which included stocktaking, ordering, and auditing. Developed advanced IT skills by using software such as Vet IT, Microsoft Teams, Office, Excel and Outlook, Xero and various social media platforms.
2020-2021 September- August: BioTe Veterinary Laboratories- Lab Assistant, UK (Full-time)
Responsible for the receiving, suitability checking and entering of samples into the laboratory management system and preparing samples accordingly for analysis by the relevant departments. Multi-disciplinary tasks including the analysis of samples of varied ELISAs, haematology and biochemistry, endocrinology, parasitology, and plating of bacteriology samples. Further experience gained shadowing the laboratory manager in areas such as qPCR and reading/interpretation of bacteriology isolates. Role required ability to work well in a team-setting and independently. Administrative duties included answering telephone enquiries and responding to e-mails.
2018 March – September: The Ragged Cot Inn – Hotel Receptionist and Housekeeper, UK (Full-time)
Worked within a team setting to provide a high level of customer service. Duties included bar work, waitressing, housekeeping, general maintenance, and administrative tasks. Role required a professional manner, a good work ethic, and the ability to be detail orientated. Demonstrated flexibility when working a variety of shift patterns.
2018 February - March: Amberley House, New Zealand - Farm Hand and Nanny (Full-time)
Work experience on a stud farm in New Zealand involved the following responsibilities: feeding livestock, cleaning out enclosures, mucking out, grooming, horse riding and farm maintenance (painting, housekeeping, and gardening). As a part-time nanny for children aged 6 to 14, my responsibilities included picking up and dropping off children at school, cleaning, cooking, housekeeping, supervising, and assisting with reading, writing, and homework.
2015 - 2019: Forest Green Rovers- Bar and Catering Assistant, UK (Part-time)
Provided a high standard of customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction. Demonstrated the ability to deal with customer issues at the point of sale professionally. Duties included bar and restaurant work which required the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere.
