About Daniel Bee:
I am a soon to be university graduate from my bachelors (with Honours) degree in International Wildlife Biology. I have a great knowledge of botany and British flora and fauna and I am passionate about wildlife conservation. Throughout my degree I have practised and studied a wide range of conservation methods and strategies including
- UK habs and phase 1 surveys
- ArcGIS and qGIS software
- Freshwater, Estuary and Coastal surveys
- A 5 week intensive volunteering program in South Africa, working to aid in the conservation of endangered and threatened species and habitats
- A solo research project throughout Scotland investigating the impacts of Cervidae overpopulation on local avian communities
- Statistical analysis using R and SPSS software
I strongly believe the skills I have learned and the experience i have gained throughout my degree will allow me to become a highly competent and dedicated servant to the conservation of British wildlife
Experience
I have worked as a volunteer and in general maintenance for SPPOT (Supporting People and Pets through Opportunity and Training) since its inception in 2013, working with dogs, disabled people and the general community. My duties involved general upkeep, improvement and maintenance of headquarter offices, dog walking, training and sitting and working with disabled people to provide them with opportunities.
Education
I have recently completed and am awaiting results (Predicted 2:1) for my bachelors degree (with Honours) in international wildlife biology at the University of South Wales.
I have an extended diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Pembrokeshire College
