I started my early employment years working in retail whilst studying full time. During my employment in retail as a sales assistant I was able to build my confidence and verbal skills while interacting with fellow employees as well as customers.

Following the customer service skills I had gained from my role as a sales assistant at Sports Direct (Oct 2005-Jan 2007), I was able to use this to my advantage to quickly settle in to the role and exceed sales targets against fellow employees at my second sales assistant role at Footlocker (Feb 2007 - Sep 2007).

After a short break between working for Sports Direct and Footlocker, I gained some experience in construction which I felt would benefit me in my future plans of working in Engineering.

After completing my studies in Engineering, I was offered a role in an apprenticeship with Ford Motor Company (September 2007 - current) and have worked within various departments in different roles, ranging from Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance to my current role as a prototype mechanic working on product development on vehicle emissions and advanced propulsion systems.

Construction gave me a basic insight in to Industrial engineering.

Working for Ford Motor Company, helped further my experience in working under pressure and working in teams as well as networking and cross functioning with other departments to reach a common goal. 

All of which were skills and experiences which were initially formed during my early roles while working in retail sales.

Currently studying a Part time degree (University of Greenwich Medway) in Electro-mechanical Engineering, funded through my current employer Ford Motor Company.

Ford Advanced apprenticeship completed 2011.

Whilst working for ford I have remained engaged in following the everchanging demands of modern/future engineering and have remained up to date by undertaking many courses per year, most recently- Electric Vehicle technician Level 2
